Report from General Manager

The Energy Fair will be held in Oregon, IL on the 13th & 14th of August.  Duck Soup has paid for the booth.  Peggy James and Tanya Nezrick will be there representing Duck Soup.  Organic Valley has expressed and interest in partnering with DSC at the fair.  They are willing to send samples and a person to help with the booth.

The new cooler doors are paid for and under construction.  The should be ready sometime after the 1st week of August.

On Monday, 7/11, the Sunny Day Bakery started bringing food for the Deli.   Duck Soup provides the display space, sells them some supplies and rings up the sales through the register.   Duck Soup keeps 1% for sales tax on the goods sold and 2% of all the Deli sales.  Sunny Day maintains all inventory and at the end of each week gets 97% of the Deli sales.   The items in the Deli are “grab and go”.  Everything is already prepared and packaged.

Peggy James will be gone the last week of July for a Coop meeting in Grand Marais.

Duck Soup should receive a final ruling within 3 weeks, regarding the Unemployment Appeal.

There is a new employee starting on Monday, 7/18
